April 13, 2010 - Chris Kane Earns Certified Logistics Professional Designation
 | April 13, 2010 – The International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) awarded the prestigious designation of Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) to Chris Kane, Chief Customer Strategy Officer for Kane Is Able.
The CLP designation was created by IWLA, the foremost trade association for third-party logistics companies, to set standards of excellence and promote professionalism throughout the 3PL industry. |
To earn a CLP, individuals must complete five to six courses and make a significant educational and service contribution to the industry.
“Chris Kane is a dedicated logistics professional who has devoted his life to not only making his company successful, but also to improving the 3PL industry’s professionalism,” said Joel D. Anderson, IWLA president and CEO. “We value his many contributions to the betterment of his profession and the logistics industry.”
A graduate of the University of Scranton, Chris is responsible for overseeing marketing efforts and marketing plans for Kane Is Able and directs the firm’s national accounts, direct sales and business development efforts. He began his career when only a teenager in 1977 in operations at what was then known as Kane Freight Lines.
Chris currently serves as chairman of the IWLA marketing committee and
is active in numerous other transportation and logistics organizations at the local, state, national and international levels.
KANE recently joined the
American Logistics Aid Network, an organization that helps engage the supply chain community to support humanitarian assistance by serving as a primary point of contact for disaster relief efforts. Acting as point of contact for companies donating goods, ALAN organizes the donations with supply chain services such as warehousing and transportation.
